Smoke leak detector NORDBERG SDT115
This Automotive Diagnostic Leak Detector is designed to test leaks in vehicle pipe systems. It can be used on all cars, motorcycles, snowmobiles, ATVs, light trucks, boats, etc.
Preparation
- Mount the hook to the screw hole
- Plug the power cords into the socket on the side of the main unit. Red to red, black to black
- Mount the smoke tube to the vent on the main unit
- Unscrew the cap and fill with an amount of smoke oil, then view the oil level through the window to ensure the oil is within the scale range
Test Run
- Connect the 12V vehicle battery with the clamps on the Power Cords. The Power Indicator will be ON and the unit will start generating air pressure. Note: red clamp to positive (+), and black clamp to negative (-)
- Block off the smoke nozzle on the Smoke Tube with fingertip, the Pressure Gauge will indicate the real-time output pressure
- Switch on the smoke mode switch, the smoke mode indicator will be ON. The unit will start producing smoke
Equipment protection
- The equipment will self-protect after a long working time to avoid the smoke maker overheating, the B indicator light will be off. And the equipment will stop making smoke. Until the temperature becomes a safety level, you can cool the equipment with the air pump
- Do not fill oil while working

*Please make sure that there are no hard objects inside the pipe before assembly to avoid scratching the inflatable adaptor. Please ensure the power supply has a voltage between 10 and 14 V and a current of 8 A.
*Please note that this Automotive Diagnostic tool cannot test the EVAP SYSTEM; please purchase the special Test sets.
